I want to learn to create my own Web pages.

It's time, don't you think?
You've been roaming the Internet looking at what everyone else has done.
Now you're ready to put together a Web site of your own

For Web page creation, the computer language is called HTML,
the coding system that turns plain text into colorful, interactive Web pages.

If you follow these steps, you will be able to create a simple web page.

A. Open the Notepad.

	1. Click on the Windows/2000 or 2003 Start
	2. Move the cursor to Programs
	3. When the list of programs appear
	4. Move the cursor to Accessories
	5. Move the cursor to Notepad, click on it.

B. Write the HTML codes.

	When the Notepad window appears,
	type the following HTML codes in Notepad.

	<HTML>
	<BODY BGCOLOR=YELLOW>
	<FONT SIZE=6 COLOR=BLUE>This is my first Web page!</FONT>
	</BODY>
	</HTML>

C. Save the HTML file

	1. Click on the File in the menu bar
	2. Move the cursor to the Save As.... and click on it
	3. When the Save As dialog box appears
	   (Note: The Windows is appeared in the Save in Text box)
	4. Select the Temp folder, double click on it
	5. In the File name text box, type my.html
	6. In the Save as Type, change to *.*
	7. Click on Save button to save your HTML file.
	   Note: your HTML file is now save in C:/Windows/Temp directory

D. View your first Web page

	1. Double Click the Internet Explorer.
	2. When the Internet Explorer window appears
	3. Type
		c:/Windows/temp/my.html
	   in the Address text box
	4. Press the enter key on your keyboard
